I have a little of 5 years (38 lbs, 41 inches) and chose to keep her in the 5-point harness. We tried a few other brands and returned. This place is easy to install and my daughter can buckle herself into the seat, no problems. You can operate the reset button after giving permission-if needed can easily press the release button (this was a problem with the baby trend hybrid just back-hard to loose). This seat also tuck away the metal buckle slot so you don't get too hot in the summer and are easy to spot when getting in the car. We tried with a lap belt but still seems easy to reach unlike some with large arm rests that make it difficult for kids to maneuver. We will be happy to keep this place until she is done with them.
